MyToons is now in HD! What does this mean?

We're kicking it up a notch by becoming the first global animation community to offer you the ability to upload and view your animations in High Definition! Now you can upload your work and have it seen just as you intended it – in crisp, clear, glorious HD... and all for free! High Definition is the top of the line, all digital format for broadcasting, streaming and viewing of video. With HD, you see images at a higher resolution than you have ever viewed on any screen before – clarity is delivered in a crystal clear, widescreen 1280 x 720 pixel format, with CD quality sound.

MyToons has a brand new look!

In addition to the glorious new HD feature, MyToons has been busy re-designing the site and adding new features to maximize your experience. The MyToons player is now in wide screen format, so you can view both HD and standard quality animations front and center! Read on for a rundown of the new features available.

What cool new things can I do on MyToons?

You've just entered a wonderful world of animation! Here's a quick walk-through of what you can do and see on the new MyToons homepage and other areas of the site:

• Watch animations from up to 12 different channels including "Funny," "HD," "Action," and "Mature." Leave a comment, rate the animation, and even share it with your friends all from the homepage!
• Rate animation, artwork, and games on a scale of 1 to 5 stars: 1 – So So, 2 – Getting Better, 3 – Pretty Good, 4 – Really Nice, 5 – Love it!
• Check out the featured animation, artwork, and Flash game of the day.
• Install Adobe Media Player and get cool toons straight to your desktop.
• Keep an eye out for "Discussions on MyToons" to read up on what the MyToons community is saying right now.
• Check out the most viewed animation and artwork of the day or invite a friend to join in on the MyToons action!
• Get news hot off the MyToons press in the Animation Snack!
• Now you can watch the exact animation you're in the mood for! Click "Animations" at the top menu bar and you have the option to filter through "Time," "Sorting," "Category," and "Style." Use this filter for Artwork and Games, too!
  • About the Filter – The new filter is designed to sift through the myriad of content on MyToons, so you can easily find exactly what you're looking for. This works by assigning categories to all content so that results match your filter preferences. You should have no problem filtering through Animations; however, Artwork and Games are still being categorized, so your filter results for these may vary. We appreciate your patience as we work to categorize and optimize your results. If you want your content to appear in users' filter results faster, you can choose to edit the category on your animations, artwork, and games by going to "My Start Page." For new uploads, you're required to pick a category for your work – this way, categorized content will grow, and you'll get more precise filter results.
• Your opinion counts! There's always a cool contest at MyToons – and now you can vote for the animations you love to help them win big!
• Do things your way from your new start page. Consider "My Start Page" your personal one-stop control board where you can manage and edit your work and personalize your options.

What are the channels on the MyToons homepage? There are so many cool animations to watch on MyToons that we decided to categorize them into channels. Click the "Change the Channel" button on the homepage, scroll through the drop down menu, choose a channel and feast your eyes!
